   General Information




Q. How long does the trial version last?
A. 30 days from the day you install the software. Starting on the 16th day, you will
receive periodic notifications to subscribe.

Q. What is the most current version?
A. Version 2015.

Q. Are there differences between the trial version and the regular version?
A. The trial version is full featured version.

Q. How do I obtain an update?
A. You can update your software by following these instructions:
     i. Select "Options" from the top menu of the application and click the "Update Setup" button.
     ii. On the Update Setup window click the "Update Now" button, the Updater window will show up.
     iii. Save your data and close ExecPlan Express, leaving the Updater application open.
     iv. On your ExecPlan Express Updater window click "Update" to start the download.
     v. Once the download is completed click the "Finished" button.

Q. How do I change the location where my files are saved?
A. Choose Options then System Setup then put your curser in the field marked Default Plan Folder. Click on the Browse button and browse to the location you would like to save your plans in. DO NOT type the path; you may accidentally mistype the location.

Q. What are the system requirements?
A. Windows 98 or higher, 64 MB RAM, and 100 MB Hard drive space.

Q. Where do I enter my companies name for printing on my reports?
A. Choose Options then System Setup.

Q. Where can I change the starting year of a plan?
A. Choose Options then System Setup.

Q. Where to I change defaults for data entry?
A. Choose Options then System Setup. Here you can choose a default rate of return for excess cash flow, a default amount for cash on hand, and a default rate for inflation for government indexed items. These items include qualified plan contribution limits, standard deduction amount, personal exemption amount, tax tables (brackets). NOTE: a higher inflation rate will reduce your client's tax liability.
